The First Local Media Forum intends to bring together trained local media practitioners for interactive exchange and sharing of experiences while they implement their individual media advocacy action plans.

About eighty four (84) Media practitioners who were oriented on the Orientation of Broadcasters on Responsible Parenthood – Natural Family Planning participated on the Forum.

Most of them are members of local media networks of:

• The Alliance of Media Advocates (TAMA)
• Kiaiwis in Cordillera Autonomous Region• Region 4 –Southern Tagalog Advocates for Responsible Parenthood (4 STAR)
• Visayas Media Advocates for Responsible Parenthood (VIMAR)
• Mindanao Media Corps
• Media for Development and Integrated Advancement, Inc. (Media Inc.) in Bicol
• Responsible Parenthood Media Luzon

Also present in the forum were Mr. Tomas Osias (Executive Director - Popcom), Ms. Mia Ventura (Deputy Executive Director - Popcom), Mr. Angelo Palmones (DZMM – Station Manager), Ms. Edna Tabanda (Philippine Health Social Science Association – CAR) and Popcom Regional Directors and staffs.
